The verb for to wear in French is porter (it also means to carry or to take). Porter is a regular –ER verb.
les bas (masculine) : stockings
Je porte des bas avec ma jupe.
I wear stockings with my skirt.
un blouson : heavy jacket
Je porte un blouson en novembre.
I wear a heavy jacket in November.
une botte : boot
J’ai des bottes de travail.
I have some work boots.
une chaussette : sock
J’ai des chausettes rouges.
I have some red socks.
une chaussure : shoe
J’ai cent paires de chaussures.
I have one hundred pairs of shoes.
un chemisier : blouse
J’ai un chemisier rose.
I have a pink blouse.
un collant / des collants (masculine) : pantyhose / tights
Je ne porte jamais de collant en été.
I never wear pantyhose in the summer.
un jean : jeans
J’aime porter un jean.
I like to wear jeans.
une jupe : skirt
J’aime la jupe verte.
I like the green skirt.
un maillot de bain : bathing suit
Elle porte un maillot de bain dans la piscine.

un manteau : coat

un pantalon : long pants
C’est mon pantalon préféré.
They are my favorite pants.
un pull / un pull-over : sweater
Je porte un pull au-dessous de ma veste.
I am wearing a sweater under my jacket.
un pyjama : pajamas
Je reste en pyjama le dimanche matin.
I stay in pajamas on Sunday mornings.
