Comment êtes-vous? (formal) / Comment es-tu? (informal) : What are you like?
Comment est-il / elle? : What is he /she like?
Comment sont-ils? (masc., mixed) / Comment sont-elles? (fem.) : What are they like?
âgé(e) : elderly / old / older
Ma grand-mère est âgée.
My grandmother is elderly.
beau (masc.) / belle (fem.) : handsome / beautiful
Mon frère est beau et ma soeur est belle.
My brother is handsome and my sister is beautiful.
blond(e) : blonde
Mon frère est blond.
My brother is blonde.
brun(e) : brown-haired, brunette
Ma soeur est brune.
My sister is a brunette.
chauve : bald

court(e) : short (in length)

roux(-sse) : ginger / red-haired

vieux / vieille : old (usually used with objects – use âgé(e) with people)
