To be honest, I don’t really know what to expect. First and foremost, a big part of me going on this trip is to get out of my comfort zone, so my biggest expectation would be to get the opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and do things I normally wouldn’t do, which I know will happen! I am someone that does not like to try new foods, so I am expecting to bust out of that and try as many new things as I can, something that I would usually be very hesitant to do at home. Zip lining? At home, not in a million years, so that’s another thing that I am expecting to do new!

I am also expecting to get to know my host family. I don’t want to just be there for a place to stay, and I know I won’t. I want to get to know my host family as if they are my normal family at home. I want knowing my host family and talking to them be like second nature.

I am hoping to get to know about the culture of Costa Rica and how they live on a normal day. I am very interested in how their daily life differs from mine here in the U.S.

I am really looking forward to this trip and I am hoping that my expectations are met and lead to me have a wonderful time!
