Folium: 11 Reasons to Stop Dreaming and Start Planning Your Round the World Trip via BootsnAll
As always, we provide arguments to the “get the heck out of your bubble and start traveling” mindset. This past week we wrapped up anther unit in Spanish class and again another opportunity arose to show the students TV shows featuring travel around the world. I tend to favor shows like Globe Trekker by Pilot Guides, but I’m also partial to some shows outside the norm such as Anthony Bourdain and Destination: Truth. However, no matter what media we use, we want to communicate the urgency to get out and do things before its too late.
The “eleven reasons to stop dreaming” is as good as any other arguments that I’ve read about travel, and we should take the time to think about it.
I fear stagnation. I’m worried that someday I’ll just stop and I won’t be able to keep traveling like I have in the past. I’m not really that old and I can feel myself slowing down. But I’ll be darned if I’m giving up yet. I’ll keep going until I can’t go any further anymore. In fact, ship me UPS to Costa Rica and prop me up in a lounge chair in Jacó.
Get out. Travel. Go big. No fear. Make changes and see what life has to offer outside your front door!
