Aero: Alaina Steensma – France 2018 – My Expectations
…
…
While i anxiously await our departure to France it also gives me plenty of time to search and try and prepare myself for what life will be like in a different country.
I expect that the food portions will be smaller and/or lighter in comparison to the large heavy portions we have here in America, this is something i’m excited for. Also the food in general, I absolutely adore food so I’m very excited to try authentic french cuisine.i expect not much to be drastically different as far as living conditions and such. Seeing as Europe is a pretty advanced continent i just can’t foresee a huge difference. I expect the little things will be the most strange to me such as not trying to figure out the sales tax on items or that they drive on the left side of the road. I am very curious about what the school will be like though.
Im very interested in whether the students there will be generally more friendly as a whole. I expect that the people there will be quieter because Americans i feel are more boisterous . as for the language difference I Don’t think its a huge deal, people can communicate without knowing each others language, it may not get done as effectively as it may if they both spoke the same language but i think that everything will work out just fine.
