Folium: 10 Ways Students Can Travel For Free via The Telegraph

To be fair this is a Telegraph article via a Lifehacker article, but the principles remain the same.

It isn’t fair to extoll the virtues and lifelong benefits of travel without finding a way for everyone to enjoy the possibility. Travel can be accessible for everyone, regardless of age, sex, social or economic standing. Now, for some, it can be as easy as swiping a credit card. However, for the other 99% (to utilize the new catchphrase), additional support may be necessary.

So, in the great tradition of the Internet, here’s a numbered list of resources that anyone could utilize in order to realize their goals of becoming a traveler!

For example, here’s something you may have never considered…

“Teaching offers the opportunity to go almost anywhere in the world, and it’s undoubtedly one of the most rewarding options for student travellers. As well as getting to know a culture from the inside and meeting plenty of like-minded folk, most of your expenses are covered and many schools will pay you on top of this. Some notable companies include The English Experience, LEOlingo and Camp America.” – The Telegraph

I’m not naïve enough to say that travel doesn’t cost money, however it doesn’t need to cost a lot of money. There are many organizations out there that are willing to pay you for the opportunity to travel, the key is to open your mind to these possibilities and take the chance when it comes!

Travel doesn’t have to be a dream! Make a goal, find the resources, and make it happen!
