We water the plants at night.
balayer : to sweep
Ma maman balaye le patio.
My mom sweeps the patio.
débarrasser la table : to clear the table
Je débarrasse la table après le départ des invités.
I clear the table after the guests leave.
enlever la poussière / épousseter : to dust
Mon frère enlève la poussière dans la salle de séjour.
My brother dusts in the living room.
essuyer : to wipe
Je dois essuyer la table.
I have to wipe the table.
étendre (le linge) : to hang (laundry) up to dry
Je vais étendre les serviettes de bain au soleil.
I am going to hang the towels in the sun.
faire la cuisine : to cook / to do the cooking
J’adore faire la cuisine.
I love to cook.
faire le jardin / jardiner : to garden / to do the gardening

ranger : to arrange (to straighten up) / to tidy up
