There are few days when I am not asked how learning languages will help people on their current jobs or future employment. Having an international mindset gives you the opportunity to experience places like this! Urban planners, architects, resource specialists, sociologists, and so many more can benefit from visiting (or living) in places like this. This type of city planning reflects the mindset of a particular culture. Much like New York reflects New Yorkers, these photos of Eixample can give us insights into how these people live, work, and play. Study this place, its history, and their people, and what can you bring back home? What problems did these designs solve, and how do they function today? How did living in these neighborhood blocks affect the people? And more importantly, were they able to solve problems there that we haven’t encountered yet?
